Principal's Corner

Dear Cougar Families,

What an incredible week at Curington Elementary! Learning is in full swing, and our students are wrapping up their beginning-of-year assessments. Our teachers cannot wait to share your children's progress and how proud we are of them during Parent-Teacher Conference Day next Friday.

We capped off a fantastic week with Picture Day on Thursday and Grandparents' Day on Friday. Seeing so many grandparents show up in full force to support their grandchildren made the campus shine with love and pride. We look forward to welcoming even more of our wonderful grandparents this coming Monday!

This week, our attendance was a whopping 98.2%, with 13 classes reaching 100% attendance. Way to go, Cougars! Cogratulations to Atteberry, Burleson, Fryman, Lozano, Price, Saldana, Schell, Serra, Slaughter, Spiekerman, Stewart, Strain, and Villegas for reaching 100%

We are excited to welcome our wonderful grandparents to campus to celebrate Grandparents Day with their Curington Cougars!

Celebrations will take place during your student's lunch hour.

To help avoid long check-in lines, we highly recommend pre-checking in ahead of time. Please use the link below to complete your pre-check-in before arriving on campus.

All Pro Dads

We are excited to kick off our All Pro Dad meetings for the 2026-27 school year. We hope that you can join us! All Pro Dad meetings are a time to connect with your child and other parents while having breakfast and discussions focused on character traits. Although the program is named All Pro Dads, moms, grandparents, carers, or any positive adult role model in your child's life are welcome to join us.

Please help make sure that your partners are aware of the meeting dates and that they are in their calendars for the year.

CCMR Wednesdays Are Here!

Every Wednesday at Curington Elementary will be dedicated to celebrating and supporting College, Career & Military Readiness (CCMR)!

Students are encouraged to show their support by wearing their favorite college shirt or camo.

Let’s inspire our Curington Cougars to dream big and start thinking about their future!

Whether it’s college, a career, or military service, we are proud to support all pathways to success!

National Night Out on Oct 6th, 5PM–8PM

This year, we’re excited to invite our neighborhoods to participate in our first-ever centralized National Night Out Block Party! The goal is to bring our community together for an evening of fun, fellowship, and building relationships with our neighbors and first responders.

An opportunity to meet your neighbors

BISD Updated School Menu

We are excited to share an upcoming change to the way you access our school menus online and through a mobile app.

SFE will be transitioning from Nutrislice to LINQ Solutions for our online menu and mobile app services. This change will enable us to bring our menu services together with the technology we already use behind the scenes.

What This Means for You?

This change will take effect beginning with September menus. On August 31, your school's menus will be available through LINQ's menu platform.
